Church of the King, McAllen started with 40 people in December of 2002. One of our visions is to not waste our “seed corn” on expensive buildings and salaries. In addition to saving for a future building site, we tithe our income to missions and the poor. We believe in financial accountability to the congregation.

Doctrine
Our motto is “Back to the future faith of the fathers.” “Faith of our fathers living still.” By “fathers” we are referring to the historical church, the Reformers, and the Puritans. They believed God is sovereign.
We believe the greatest need in the church today is to believe in the sovereignty of God. God is in control of all demons, all men, and all circumstances. Nothing can happen to God’s elect unless he permits it; and whatever He permits is for our good … even unto death. NOTHING “HAPPENS” TO GOD. The word “accident” does not appear in the Bible. Just as the Assyrian was the rod in God’s hand, so is Satan (Isaiah 10:5). Satan can do nothing unless God permits it.
As do all other true Christians, we believe the Bible is the infallibly inspired word of God. We believe in the Trinity as described in the Nicene Creed. We believe in the Apostles’ Creed.
We believe in Spirit filled praise and worship.

Family Worship
Families that pray together stay together. The purpose of marriage is to raise up a godly seed. Children are to be taught God’s Word at home as well as at church.
